Why Recollect

Recollect provides a sacred space for your spiritual journey

Do you not know that your body is a temple* of the holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?’ (1 Corinthian 6:19-10)

Every baptized Christian is a dwelling of the Holy Spirit. You have this ‘sacred place’ within you, where Holy Spirit lives and communicates constantly. To be aware of the Holy Spirit and his communication is the key to grow in spiritual life. This uncluttered journal is designed intentionally to encourage you to foster the awareness and desire to cooperate with the Holy Spirit, the ‘Sanctifier’of our souls. (1 Peter 1:2)

Recollection is for everyone.

The call to intimacy with God isn’t reserved for priests and religious – it’s the universal invitation extended to every baptized Christian. Saint Teresa of Avila called recollection “gathering our faculties together and entering within ourselves to be with God.” This journal helps you answer that call.

Why a guided journal?

Spiritual growth thrives on intentionality. Just as physical fitness requires tracking progress and maintaining consistency, our relationship with the Lord deepens when we regularly examine our prayer life, track patterns of grace, prepare for the sacraments, and reflect on how God is moving in our daily lives.

Recollect combines the wisdom of centuries-old Catholic spiritual practices with a practical, flexible format designed for modern life. It’s more than a diary – it’s a companion for your journey toward holiness, helping you to:

You don't need to be a theologian or a saint to begin.

You simply need a desire to know God more deeply and a willingness to set aside sacred time for that relationship. Recollect meets you wherever you are on your journey and grows with you as you mature in faith.
